What to do if your child is sick
7th Grade Immunization Information
Prior to your child’s entry into 7th grade, his/her immunizations MUST be updated.
Immunization requirements for 7th grade include:
- One dose of Tdap within the last five years
- Two doses of Varicella (or proof of chicken pox illness)
- One dose of Meningococcal vaccine given on or after 11th birthday
Please discuss these requirements with your pediatrician and submit the updated shot records to the school nurse, Lisa Walraven, as soon as your child receives their immunizations. If your child has already received these immunizations, please send an updated copy of the shot record to the school as soon as you can. You may bring in a copy or have the records faxed to (940) 497-4028.
Proof of these immunizations will be required for school attendance and before 7th grade schedule can be picked in August.

Communities in Schools
The Mission of Communities In Schools of North Texas is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
Communities In Schools (CIS) is a nonprofit agency that coordinates and provides services to help young people overcome barriers, succeed in school, and prepare for life. There are many components to CIS including educational enhancement, mental and behavioral health services, enrichment activities, mentoring programs, health and human services, college/career preparation, parental involvement, and supportive guidance. All services are free.
