Welcome to LDMS Theatre!

We offer theater for 7th-8th grade students and are excited to support
our falcons in their performance levels and creativity!

Our goal is to grow our Middle School Theatre program with the ability to provide a variety of performance opportunities and class levels that prepare students for High School Theatre as well a create a community of Theatre students on the LDMS Campus. As we move towards that goal, Theatre classes are taught by HS Theatre Director Mrs Probst and MS Choir Director Ms Reed.

Theatre Courses

Intro to Theatre

An introduction to the fundamentals of Theatre. Students will experience Theatre basics through in-class performances, improvisation activities, Theatre history, character discovery, movement, and reading a script.
 

Theatre 2: Production Class

Prerequisite: Intro to Theatre & Teacher Approval/Audition

Students will participate in all aspects of basic Theatre productions. Students will have opportunities to participate in various aspects of a Theatre production including technical theatre and acting thus preparing them for High School Theatre. As a production-based class for upper-level Middle School, students will prepare for UIL One Act Play Competition and other live public performances.
